Chaz Chumley, Drupal Evangelist at Forum One, is bringing us Drupal 8 theming! This is one of the most commonly asked for presentations and we got the guy who wrote the book. Literally!
The presentation will cover:
· Working and understanding content and content types
· How to utilize custom blocks
· Dissecting a theme
· Creating custom themes and templates, using Twig with Views to display content
· Best practices for Drupal 8 theming
Chaz Chumley is Drupal Evangelist at Forum One and has been specializing in Open Source web and database development with emphasis in responsive design. Chaz' adventures have also led him to become an Instructor at the University of Nevada Las Vegas teaching Drupal and various web technologies as well as contributing numerous articles and presentations at NYCCamp, BadCamp and DrupalCon, as well as, authoring Drupal books for Packt publishing.
This meetup will take place at ICF International in Fairfax, VA.
Our regular meetup is the third Tuesday of every month - rotating between ICF and Bixal in Fairfax.
