Hi Everyone,

Come and join us for our next Drupal Show and Tell! It's a great opportunity to learn and listen to the interesting talks we have lined up for you as well as a chance to mingle and meet new people within the Drupal World.

For people who don't know the format, at 6.30pm we meet the Clarence Centre in a room generously lent to us by South Bank University. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided and then we'll head over to the Duke of York on Borough Road for a few beers and more Drupal chat.

On the night we will also be giving away 2 free ebooks from Packt Publishing, so come along for your chance to WIN!

If you are interested in attending, please do sign up and RSVP.

The talks we have confirmed so far are:

Talk: An introduction to Backdrop Description

Speaker: Jorge Lopezlago

"The talk will include a brief description of Backdrop's changes to Drupal, its philosophy and its reasons to exist. Then I will give my view on why this may have happened and what may be happening to the Drupal world."

Building a custom CKEeditor plugin for Drupal. The talk will be about how we needed a bespoke CKEditor plugin for our Drupal 7 site which required building a custom module to incorporate the plugin, incorporating a php library and referencing our own Ajax callback.

Talk: Building a custom CKEeditor plugin for Drupal

Speaker: Charles Folkes

Talk: How we implemented Symfony's dependency injection in Drupal 7.

Speaker: Levi Govaerts

"During this presentation I'm going to speak about Dependency Injection, What is it?, Why would you use it? Drupal 8 services (As they are based on DI) and the port of Dependency Injection into D7 (and D6)."

If you'd like to speak at this event or a future one, please do get in touch. The only criteria is that your talk is on the topic of Drupal and not a sales pitch, so plenty of scope for you there!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

All the best
