We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Senior Developer with a strong focus on Drupal. Typical duties will include architecting your own builds or as part of a team, guiding other team members through the implementation of custom modules and themes. The type of project you find yourself working on could vary from building a content heavy site for a national charity, an online community for City professionals or a multi-domain, multi currency ecommerce site. You will also have the opportunity to work on none-drupal work such as content migration, site performance and other open source projects (Symfony/Laravel)

Key accountabilities:
Writing beautiful, standards compliant, PHP code (OO focused with Design Patterns)
Specifying the technical architecture and workflow of projects
Leading through example and mentoring a project team
Ensuring best practises and coding standards are followed
Supporting the Project Managers and clients with technical decisions and discussion
Anticipating and addressing potential time and budget issues on projects

Essential Skills:
Excellent knowledge of PHP 5.5 onwards
Excellent knowledge of Drupal API 7 and 8 with examples of using it professionally
Excellent knowledge of IDE environments (PHPStorm, Eclipse) and debugging code (xdebug)
Excellent knowledge of best practises and industry standards (Drupal developments standards, Codesniffer, Composer, etc)
Excellent knowledge of standards compliant HTML / CSS / JS / SASS
Experience with MySQL / MariaDB
Experience working with modern development techniques (TDD - phpunit, BDD - Behat, Continuous Integration - Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI)
Experience working with code tracking software (JIRA, Mantis, Pivotal Tracker)
Experience working with 3rd party APIs
Experience working with version control and git and ability to use it to foster team collaboration
Experience working in Agile with Scrum
A university degree
Eager to learn, improve and develop.
Passionate about all things web and especially Drupal
A good team worker and all round nice person

Highly Desirable:
Strong track record of involvement in Drupal (send us your d.o UID)
Experience with other PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Falcon)
Experience consulting with clients and working closely with their teams
Experience working with the command line and SSH for remote systems
Experience with DevOps (Configuration management - Ansible, Puppet, security, performance optimisation)
Experience with other programming experience (Python, Go, node.js)
Experience with front end automation tools (e.g Gulp, Grunt)
OOP within the context of drupal
Experience with publishing platforms
