Hi all.

The committee had our monthly meeting yesterday. We talked mainly about the forthcoming Drupal Camp:

-1-

Dates

We are considering as provisional dates the 7th - 8th of April. We would like to continue with the traditional two days format (Friday and Saturday) and to have a more developers focused Camp.

-2-

Venue

The location will be Dublin. We have considered various options and different committee members will be approaching a number of venues (GEC, Dospace, Dogpatch Lab, etc). Based on the venues availability we might need to change or amend the dates, also considering cost, capacity, catering, etc. We hope to have the venue decided by our next committee meeting in mid February.

-3-

Website

We'll get our website for the Camp live as soon as we can. Mark Horgan has volunteered to design the website for Drupal Open Days this year (Thanks Mark!). It will be possible to propose sessions via the website.

-4-

Promotion

We started the promotion with the Call for Proposals and believe promotion is a very important factor for a successful Drupal Open Days.

We felt that social media is a great channel of promotion, but would like to explore other avenues as well, such as some of us talking about it at DrupalCamp London, Leeds/Manchester, Limerick Open Source, etc.

And that was pretty much it. If anyone wants to voice an opinion about anything in the minutes, please post a comment below.

Thanks.
