I'm looking to contract an experienced freelance Drupal developer to assist with migrating a Drupal 6 site to Drupal 7 (or possibly 8). I am a library and information management consultant with experience building Drupal sites but I'm not a PHP programmer or developer, so I need assistance with module and backend development and the developer I usually work with is unavailable.

The site was developed in 2011 for a non-profit organization that supports queer and trans youth in Nova Scotia to manage their small library collection. It has a library catalogue built with CCK and related modules; it allows staff and volunteers to create catalogue records populated with book data from OpenLibrary.org; and it manages circulation of library materials to members using core user management features and a custom circulation module. It also has a custom module for generating unique classification numbers for books. I need a Drupal developer to update the two custom modules, help with customizing the theme, assist with migrating content, and acting as a resource when I have questions or need a bit of coding done. I will take care of the majority of the site design and building, all project management, and communication with the client.

The timeline is flexible and the fees are negotiable. The timeline is flexible and the fees are negotiable. I'm based in Halifax and would love to work with someone local if possible. Familiarity with library standards and practices is also an asset. Please get in touch with me (Amanda Stevens) if you're interested or would like more information about the project.
