Topics

I picked this month's topics from the Ideas for SeaDUG Presentations list. No-one has committed to presenting any of them yet, so if you'd like to give a short (15-to-20-minute) demo or presentation on one of the three chosen topics for this month, please add a comment or send me a message. Keep in mind that the ideas list is a wiki page that anyone can edit, so add any topics you'd like to learn about at future meetings.

Thanks Rick

I can do a quick demo on the URL Aliases.

Theme libraries

I will talk about how to define a library to use CSS and JS in a theme.

Would someone like to volunteer to present, or just lead a discussion on, using custom site settings for local development?

I can talk about this one.

Since we are just coming off the Summit, what about quick review of favorite sessions?

New major version approach

Meeting tonight!

rlhawk's picture

Don't forget that our regular monthly meeting is tonight. We'll be discussing the following:

1) Strategies for configuring URL alias patterns;
2) Using custom site settings for local development;
3) Defining libraries to use CSS and/or JS in a theme or module

We will also briefly talk about the PNW Drupal Summit and the planned upgrade strategy for Drupal 8 and 9, as described by Dries.

I finally got around to buying more drinks for the meeting! Will have beer, water, sparkling water.

Help Wanted and When is the next meeting?

RoryB2's picture

We need to hire someone for a project and I'd prefer someone local.
I posted a JOB add on the Drupal Site but most of the responses are from India...

Is there a way to post a "Help Wanted" message to the Seattle board? We're in Bellevue.

Thanks,
RORY

Other previous job posts have

Shawn Conn's picture

Other previous job posts have created discussion nodes to have visibility on this local group.

You might also want to adjust your jobs.drupal.org post so that your location preference is mentioned near the beginning in the body. I think some might just see the US flag and gloss over the locality preference.

There should be a "Create

There should be a "Create job" link at the top of the right-hand sidebar of this page. That will create a job listing in this group and you can cross-link it to other groups if, for example you wanted to consider devs from Portland. You should also mention if this is a D7 or D8 project.

SeaDUG meetings are the third Thursday of the month, so the next one is 20 April. Group organizers usually post on this group about the next meeting two weeks out.

Hope to see you there!
