I had created a sandbox project for Drupal 7 (https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/sreenivasparuchuri/pls_wait)

https://www.drupal.org/sandbox/sreenivasparuchuri/2899535

which add a Please wait.. text once we submit the form.

Due to this Submit button will be disabled until the process is complted.
