I'll claim a lightning talk slot. Perhaps 10 minutes including a couple-minute excerpt from the Driesnote in Vienna (can I project through fullsize HDMI?)

Dries labeled Drupal 8 as "for ambitious digital experiences" at DrupalCon Baltimore. Like everyone else, I looked at this statement and Drupal 8's increased complexity and inferred Drupal 8 is "for the enterprise."

More recently, Dries has clarified that he doesn't want Drupal 8 leave the majority of its users behind. In my lightning talk, I'll briefly review the major characteristics of Drupal 8 that make it less amenable to use by small sites and site builders that aren't heavy PHP developers. I'll then share a new project I'm trying to get off the ground that aims to address those concerns.

Thanks!

I'll check with Jer about the projector. If you are on Slack, ping us there to make sure we have the right adaptors for you!

Looking forward to hearing what you have to say!
