This month, we continued discussing implementations of Jay Epstein's (https://twitter.com/jeppy64 http://jay-epstein.com/) Relativity model (http://jay-epstein.com/relativity/overview) and how it can be used for event sites, among other things.

We began the meetup discussing the Broward Drupal culture, and how it is shaped by every Broward Drupal member impacts it.

We went on to discuss questions about Relativity, including going around the room and defining what it is with everyone’s input. Jay also spent time defining Relativity to a new member of Broward Drupal.

Jay stated that Relativity uses Taxonomy to define a node (i.e. a descriptor of a node). For Relativity, he used the example of finding a book on building model airplanes in a library: There is one physical location of the book, even though it can fall under several categories/views (e.g.. hobbies, models, etc.). Store it once and reuse it in other places.

The remainder of the meetup was spent on the Florida DrupalCamp website.

We had five remote users and nine in person.
