Duration: 1 hour

Brief description:

Rodale had an interesting problem - how do you migrate from a custom CMS to Drupal while scaling for loads that can approach several million page views an hour? We're going to discuss what went wrong, what went right, and what we learned about the limits of Drupal in this site showcase.

Topics will include, but not be limited to, Solr, caching, how CCK can and should work (why shared fields are bad for views), how we integrated with an iPhone application, custom modules, and what's next for Rodale and the Eat This, Not That! Site.
