Whether you are a freelancer or an employee you might be interested to know there's yet another way to team up for a big Drupal project.

OSAlliance is a cooperative that is based in Austria. Many of the cooperative's members have experience with Drupal, and some of them work with it every day.

The Alliance is a way for teams, companies, and individuals to work together to get a project done and to share a central project management scheme that is designed to benefit each of the players in the project.

I've spoken with Roland Alton Scheidl, a current member of the board and founder of the Alliance, and he says that checking out the website is probably the best way to learn more about working with the Alliance. You can find it here:

I've contacted a couple of the current members and I'm discussing with them opportunities for doing future projects together. I hope you'll consider posting a comment if this sounds interesting to you.

One of the ways to check this out is to consider joining a project team that is working within the project statues of the cooperative, having to do with how projects are handled and how decisions are made on a project. You can find a document about this here: http://osalliance.com/membership/services
