We are excited to announce that we are hosting a "Drupal 8 code sprint day" as a part of a “Drupal Global Contribution Weekend 2020” initiative by Drupal Association / Drupal Association of India. The event will be held on Saturday, January 25th, 2020

Date: 25th January, 2020
Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Venue: TBD

If you are a Drupal Developer, Themer, Designer, Tester, Documentation writer, Project planner, or Drupal beginner? If so, come and join us in Drupal Code sprint.

Summary:

• Full day Hands on training
• Installation of Drupal 8 and setting up tools
• Writing a custom module
• Entity API
• Hooks, Plugins & Events
• Symfony - Services & Dependency Injection

If time permits:

• Theming - Twig, Render API
• REST with Drupal 8
• Angular 2 with Headless Drupal
• Native mobile app development using Ionic 2/Cordova

Note: Pre-requisites:

• Good knowledge of Drupal 7

During our last meetup, it was decided to resume our monthly code sprints. From now on we will have code sprint on last saturday of every month. 

We are also trying to keep the venue/time same for all code sprints and also get some fundings to cover food/beverage and infrastructure cost for the event. If you or your organization is interested in sponsoring code sprints in part or full please write to me at rachit.gupta@drupalmumbai.org

Let's get our hands dirty on this Pan India Sprint day and code away to Drupal stardom.

Our focus would mainly be around:
- Porting modules to Drupal 8.
- Drupal Core

Who can attend:
Anyone with basic knowledge of Drupal module development, and interest on getting started with programming for Drupal 8.

Pre-requisite:
A laptop with the the setup of *AMP (LAMP, XAMP, MAMP, etc.) stack, git and your favourite editor.

Start the year with Drupal global sprint and make your hands on Drupal 8 prior to drupal con asia 2016. We will hold this sprint at Mumbai on 30th January 2016.
