How to create group home page w/ tabs like drupal dojo?
I'm trying in create a group homepage similar to the Drupal Dojo homepage at least with respect to the tabs (home, lessons, etc.) across the top. Somewhere along the line though I'm running into issues and I'm not sure if it is a path alias issue or a views issue. Here's what I've done so far.
I've created several group content types.
Team
- Path Auto: groups/team/[title-raw]
Committee
- Path Auto: groups/committee/[title-raw]
Base off this alone I can list my groups and navigate to those URLs. I see the standard group home page with the river of news.

Dear Drupal Dojo members and maintainers,
Hello. My name is Scott, I'm a Drupal newbie eager to send out Drupal information towards a Japanese audience and seeking content to translate through a group I am attempting to administer. Currently we have
only one active Group in Japan (Drupal Japan Group) which is growing, and the situation currently is Japanese markets hardly know Drupal unfortunately. And we just got our second Drupal book in Japanese. During
Fine tuning views
Okay so I have the views setup and everything looks perfect except the last row of images. It stacks them vertically. I would like it to stake the images horizontally within that row. I have it setup on the Fields Row Style and have inline checked for the image field. What seperator should be used to display these items one after another in this row? Any ideas would be great.

Hello,
I am still new-ish to Drupal.
I recently moved my site from local machine to a test online site. When I try to create content, I get this:
warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/Applications/MAMP/tmp/php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/ermep.com/subdomains/test/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/ermep.com/subdomains/test/httpdocs/includes/file.inc on line 102.

update modules best practice
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this kind of questions, if not please let me know.
I've been doing module update the following way:
- download the new module from drupal.org
- go to Administer > Site building > Modules then deselect the old module, then click Save configuration
- click Uninstall and select the old module if available, then click uninstall
- remove the old module from sites/all/modules folder
- copy the new module to the sites/all/modules folder
- run update.php
How to show quicktab to a specifi page?
I'm using a quicktab module to show some contents (RSS feed, recent forum posts, etc.), the trouble is quicktab is showing in every page of the site, not just one, anyone knows how to configure it to show only at certain page (homepage for instance)?
Thanks in advance for your comment/suggestion.

Possible idea for acheiving publishing workflow complete with post editing restrictions
I am building a site that is in need of a publishing workflow that needs to be able to revoke editing of posts after a certain transition occurs. A few ideas seem like they could work. The one that seems relatively easy to implement I will outline here.
Drupal Version:
6.x
Modules used:

There is a lot of teaching content out there, but there is no central place that can get you to all of it.
Yesterday we had a discussion about the future of resources aggregation and moderation for Drupal (e.g. videocasts, recordings, audio, write-ups,...). I've got a part (the first 30 minutes are missing) transcript of the IRC session at http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgtrwwgw_1dtmqc5c2
There were basically 3 use cases:
1) Drupal Dojo where people come to teach and learn - sort of social network for learning and mentoring
2) A Drupal materials aggregator - that collects everything and that is community moderated
3) A moderated content list - where a list of comprehensive materials is made available
