Welcome to VANDUG!

The Vancouver Drupal Users Group is the local meeting place for Greater Vancouver people interested in Drupal. We were formerly known as the Vancouver League of Drupalers, but that's a long story. We generally meet once a month (typically the 4th Thursday) on a variety of topics, both technical and non-technical. There is no cost to join the group or attend our monthly meetings.

We have a sister group in the Lower Mainland, the Surrey Drupal Users Group that meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Many people are members of both groups.

Drupal Camp Vancouver 2010 - Call for Organizers

It's probably not too early to start planning a Drupal Camp for 2010, particularly since finding a venue is one of the biggest challenges and is much simpler with lots of lead time.

April/May seems like a good rough starting point for the date. Most of the other regional Drupal events are late summer/early fall. Hopefully it's far enough past the end of the Olympics not be adversely impacted, but there my be displaced events competing for the space. We'll also want to insure we don't schedule the same days as Open Web Vancouver.

What's New in Drupal 7

There's some amazing stuff in Drupal 7. You've probably all heard about the user experience stuff, but have you heard about hook_page_alter and it's ability to modify a page before rendering? Core developer Károly Négyesi (chx) will give us a quick tour of the Drupal 7 developer highlights and be available to answer questions.
