Whoops! That crept up on us!
Let's have another meetup, at SubHub HQ, with food again.
I'm proposing a session on using Git as a VCS for maintaining production sites, managing a testing workflow, and for module development. I haven't done a lot of contrib module development, so I might be guessing about that bit.
Also, Chris Cohen of Tigerfish Interactive will be our guest speaker, giving tips on obedience training for dogs. ;-)

How did that sneak up? I bet you're all away on Holidays anyway.
So yes - a July meetup, in Cardiff Bay, with the folks from SubHub, and whomsoever else would like to join in. As usual, we'll lay on some pizza (or maybe something else?) you bring yourselves along. We can while away the hours talking about Drupal and what we'd all like to achieve with it, we could do a problem workshop, we could pick a topic to explore. Whatever takes your fancy, really :-)
Here's the location:

Come on over, eat some pizza and talk some Drupal. You know the drill, people.
If there's anything you'd like to talk about, list it in the comments - Bring a problem!

A big thanks to all for 19th April
Reposting my comment from http://groups.drupal.org/node/141239 to get a discussion going...
A big thanks to all for coming along on the 19th April - was good to see some familiar faces and meet some new people in the local Drupal community. Hopefully we can get 30 people together regularly.
Some of the key things people felt they could get out of (or would like for) regular sessions were:
- Group problem solving/open forum QA
- Learning Drupal 7
- Performance/optimisation advice
- Freelancer networking/collaboration opportunities
- Socialising
- A mixture of social/formal

The first of hopefully many regular meetups for Drupal users in and around Bristol.
SiftGroups will be hosting with plans to kick off around 6pm and run until around 9pm, carrying on in the pub if necessary. We'll sort out some food options and beer once we know numbers.
For the first session we'll keep it fairly loose, intros and stuff and try to get idea of what we can get out of regular meetups. Knowledge sharing, regular presentations/speakers, plans for DrupalCon London etc.
Read moreNot really a poll, but topics for SWDUG April
So what can we be informative about? Topics I can think of immediately are:
- What went down at Drupalcon
- Drupal Performance
- AJAX in Drupal 7
- Scaling
- How to make the perfect cup of tea
- Agile
I'm running out of steam, but people should suggest more :-) I'll endeavour to actually have something practical to show rather than garbling with a mouth full of pizza, or rope someone in who knows more about this stuff than me.
Any more?

So it's creeping up on us again. Who's coming along in Feb?
Once again, an informal get together to see who's doing what, who wants help with what and to share some questionable food of high calorific value. All Drupal folks from the surrounding area welcome - just please register so we know to expect you!
Would anyone like to present anything formally this time 'round?
If anyone's thinking of coming but might need a hand getting to/from train stations, reply here and I'm sure we can figure something out.

Is anything thinking of going to either of these events? (They're on at the same time - you can pick and choose between the two). I went to FOSDEM last year, and it was a really good event. There's also the bonus of a trip to Brussels and Belgian beer.
Anyway, I was planning to go, and wondering if anyone else from the area was interested so we could get a group together.
