Whitehouse.gov on Drupal

At our last meeting we all had a sad sigh when we learned that recovery.gov was no longer on Drupal, but have no fear Drupal won a bigger fish

HTML5 experience

Does anyone know anything about html5? If so would you be willing to talk to the group about it and/or demo it?

I ask because I don't know much about it and I was listening to a podcast the other day where someone said "you can do everything you can do in Flash with html5" I'm curious if that statement plays out in reality (obviously a reality where IE 6 & 7 don't exist).

Here's some not so light reading on the topic

Drupal programmer/themer | Independent

Employment type:
Part time
Telecommute:
Allowed

Looking for Drupal programmer(s) with an interest in further development of a site dedicated to style. Have reached a point where we need local talent that can meet with us to discuss plans for expansion and updating our site, as well as be available for troubleshooting. Once plans made, telecommute is ok. Hourly reimbursement commensurate with experience/expertise. Does not require interest in style, but at least one such programmer would be advantageous. Thanks and hope to hear from you.
