We've auditing part of the drupal.org content (see http://drupal.org/community-initiatives/drupalorg-content-strategy and http://groups.drupal.org/node/139814).
Audit is now over. Fixing what's there is next.

How to access the audit site
Access to to http://content.redesign.devdrupal.org requires a password. The passwords is in the httpauth popup box!

Ready to audit?
First, familiarize yourself with the established drupal.org interface style guidelines at http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation/guide/style
For each node in your assigned section:
- Read the node's content.
- Summary: Write a brief summary of the page's content (including whether images are present)
- Purpose: identify the purpose of the page
- Problems: Note down general & particular problems with the page:
- Does it contain redundant info (is this content covered elsewhere? If yes, note down the node ID where it is covered)
- Is it in the wrong place (does another page make more sense?
- Does the content need restructuring? Please give examples.
- Is it inaccurate? Don't spend time researching the inaccuracies, but if you think the content is inaccurate, let's say so.
- Is it useful? Does it add value? Or just wasting people's time? Just because it exists, doesn't mean we have to keep it forever and ever!
- Does it need English grammar, spelling, punctuation improvements?
- Does the tone and style meet the guidelines? http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation/guide/style
- Is it written to be understood by an "outsider"... that is, someone not that familiar with Drupal but is perhaps evaluating it for the first time?
- Is there any key information that's missing?
- Does the url path not make sense? As a top level or important page, does it need it's own path?
- Could the content be supported by an image or illustration? If yes, what?
Marketplace - http://content.redesign.devdrupal.org/node/366
Working with Drupal service providers - http://drupal.org/node/995766Oops,let's not do Marketplace; it's being replaced with a new system, and eventually these nodes will be deleted anyway.

Working with Service Providers is under Documentation
Working With Drupal SPs seems to be under the Documentation heading, which in another discussion was supposed to not be part of the initial content audit. It might also make sense to do that after the Marketplace part changes are complete.

I have a stupid question. How do you get to the Getting Started guide, other than using the URL? I can't find any navigation path that leads to it.

This is why we're doing this audit :)
Can you file an issue for that and tag it drupal.org content audit? Mark it as postponed, since we'll wait til the audit is complete to make IA decisions.

I would like to contribute.
Hey, I'd like to contribute to the getting started section.
It was invaluable to me when I started, I'm still learning a lot about Drupal, but I'd love to help, maybe as a supporting co-author, so I can work with someone to bounce ideas off of.
Perhaps coming at this from a less advanced level as some of the older hands on Drupal might be a useful insight on what will be some users first point of contact with Drupal.
Any takers?
We're currently doing this on our own site to ensure that the content is much less me me me and much more you you you.
In friendly and easily digestible language.
At the worst case if I had access to it, I'd be happy to spend a bit of time flagging content or acting as another set of eyes.
Whatever is helpful.
