DrupalCon Asia-Pacific Organizers Invite You to Participate
We are excited to announce the DrupalCon Asia-Pacific Organisers group. DCAPO intends to lay foundations that will facilitate international Drupal Conferences (DrupalCons) in the Asia-Pacific region.
DCAPO welcomes and needs input and assistance from Drupal users and communities throughout the Asia-Pacific region. DrupalCons are a lot of work, and are only possible through the community's effort. Please join the DCAPO group to share your opinions and experience, volunteer your time, or nominate yourself or others for roles on the selection team.
DCAPO will later announce a call to the community to suggest and research locations for the first Asia-Pacific DrupalCon. Note that a lot of work goes into researching locations. The DCAPO selection team will only be able to seriously consider locations with suitable venues, dates and event management companies, financial estimates, potential audience and motivated local teams.
But first, as much of the Asia-Pacific Drupal community as possible needs to get involved. You can help by translating and reposting this announcement on other websites where Asia-Pacific Drupal users and communities are likely to find it. Don't forget to note any translations and reposts in the DCAPO group so that we can track progress and share translations with each other.

hierarchial select + nodereference
Hi,
I have a hierarchial select field for taxonomy & a node reference field in a CCK.
I wish to populate the node reference field based on the taxonomy term selected via the hierarchical select without submitting the form(without creating the node).
Any solution to this?

Drupal freelancer | Its a regional Not for profit site
Hi,
I run a very small regional portal in India working on a not for profit basis. The website runs on Drupal 5 at the moment and I am looking for a freelancer/contractor to help me upgrade the site to Drupal 6.
Work will mostly be to port the theme to D6 as most of the modules that the site uses have a D6 version avaialble. There are 4-5 modules like jrating etc which are not ported to D6 but have alternates available in D6.

Drupal Interface Translation to Oriya Language
Hi,
I have started translation of Drupal interface to Oriya language . This will be for Drupal 6.x versions.
I have almost done with the translation of 'node', 'block' and 'user' module strings. Few other module are translated partially.

There needs to be a Good integration with the exisintg nodes on the site so that if we need to associate a product to a particular node it can be done quite easily.
The system will have to handle payment in indian rupees
2) Integrate one of the location modules so that
a) when creating a node, User is able to search for a location and if a match is found the location is updated on a map as well as correct address gets auto populated
Defining custom views

I read the mission statement of the group and I got some relief:
This group exists as a place for people interested in the group to talk about Views development; all development talk is encouraged here, from people who want to work on Views core to people who are interested in Views' API for their own modules.
I am developing views for my custom modules, but having problem with handlers. I can't figure out how to use those handlers.
I defined handlers but when I select the filter I added to the views it shows and error:

Tabs using Panels and in Panels
Hello there,
I searched the forum and even posted one forum topic too, but neither found any fruitfull information nor I got response of the post, which is why I'm posting this here.
I have two secondary tabs created with Panels and for those secondaries I have one primary local task which is default local task too.
Now, I want another Primary local task with no children.
I tried hard, also with hacking the code, but could not do that.
Has any one here any idea for this?

Google's Chrome
Recently, Google has launched the browser named "Chrome".
There is much said about the browser but I want to know what people in India think about it.
There is a major drawback of the Chrome is that any content uploaded through the browser to any site will entitle Google to use the content as they want without your permission.
What's your opinion?
