Proximity Searching Delivery Area
I'm developing a site that needs to utilize a delivery area component in address location. Typically a node would have a single geolocation, but for delivery a node would have a radius around a single point (so multiple points). Does anybody know what the best way to implement this would be so that a proximity search would give proper results based on multiple points?
Thanks!
Read moreHow to filter nodes returned from Google Places API and Apache Solr?
Hi,
I have some nodes that have a Location field and also some other features.I want to filter those nodes for the Location using the Google Places api
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/places#place...
I also want to filter those results simultaneously using Solr based on same features e.g. colour.
How can I do both filterings?

How to search inside the boundaries of an area?
Hi,
I would like to search for nodes inside an area e.g. nodes inside "London" .Each node has a latitude/longitude.So as a result, the search should return only the nodes inside the boundaries of this area.
I have search all drupal spatial modules but I cannot find one that does this.
Any suggestions?

Need help for maps showing large numbers of records
I'm pulling together a site which needs to have maps that display a couple of thousand records. The current solution uses Getlocations/Views with Google Maps as the back end; it works fine up to about 100 records (see attached screenshot) but then slows down and falls over as numbers are increased.
Does anybody have useful experience in this area? I'm happy to consider consultancy fees; less happy to speak with agencies.
Read moreGeofield Display Format Data Options (Using Bounding Box)
I am using Geofield to store point and polygon features. Input works fine with all the different widgets I have tried.
Display formats (GeoJSON, WKT, KML) with Data Options "Use full geometry" and "Use centroid" work fine with either point or polygon geometries. When I use the Data Option " Use bounding box" it does not work with any geometry and get the following error:
Exception: Cannot construct Point. x and y should be numeric in Point->__construct() (line 23 of ....../sites/all/modules/geophp/geoPHP/lib/geometry/Point.class.php).
Read moreLocation on GMAP with Search functionality based on a Zip Code
Hi All,
I want to add the various address locations and want to show them on the gmap if the users search for a Zip Code or Postal Code.
I have tried the couple of modules but could not achieve the same.
Thanks in advance.
Read moreAddress Field or Text Fields with Auto-Complete?
Hi All,
I've been through a couple tutorials on mapping with Openlayers where they get position information through Geocoder using either Address Field or, alternatively, a single text field with Auto-complete.
Is there any advantage of using one or the other to derive coordinates? From the looks of it, it seems like the simple text field is a bit more svelte.
Thanks for any advice,
LEO
Read moreimporting TCX/GPX/KML for display on maps?
I was hoping some of you could provide some advice.
I am looking for an approach to displaying data from a TCX, GPX or KML file on a (non Google) map on a node. The data will be sourced from the Garmin connect service (export, import)
My first thoughts were user would upload the file on node creation, which would then be displayed on a map when the node is viewed (or on upload if possible?).
Unfortunately, I have yet to find what I was hoping would be a relatively straightforward means to achieve this.
Any recommendations?
Thanks.
c
