Welcome to the Nashville, Tennesse Drupal Group. Our primary goal is to support all things Drupal, in Nashville and surrounding areas. Our group is open to newbies, designers, seasoned developers, strategists, researchers, businesses… ANYONE who would like to learn more about Drupal; how to create Drupal sites and/or how to put them to work for you.
How to Join Us: We're currently working on reviving our monthly session schedule for focused topics, so feel free to jump in the conversation there.
Come join us, help us revive and expand this group, and tell us what you'd like to learn.

Drupal Camp Chattanooga has been set for Nov 9th 2013
We are hosting at Chattanooga State Community College, and we have room for 300.
We are looking for session submissions and sponsorship.
Drop me a line if you want to help with anything.
We're Moving
The Nashville Drupalers web site will soon be transferring site hosts. For years, since Jamie Meredith founded the Nashville Drupaler's group, we were generously hosted by his Britesparkz hosting. Jamie left the Nashville area in late 2012 to work for Acquia in Boston and is retiring his hosting company. Fortunately, Acquia offers free cloud hosting for established Drupal user groups, so our site will soon be moving to Acquia, as well.

Calling all Nashville Drupalers! In case you haven't noticed, there is no DrupalCampNashville this year, but there is—with your help—going to be a DrupalCampChattanooga, and my buddy Lee Walker could really use your help. He's discovering how lonely it is at the top when trying to make these camps happen.
We need volunteers!

I've been talking about it for years.
This year I will actually do it.
Drupal Camp Chattanooga will happen this spring. (Exact date to be decided April or May most likely)
As Drupal Camp Nashville looks like it won't happen in 2013, lets have a Tennessee camp in Chattanooga at about he usual time for Nashville.

As soon as we set a definitive date, I'll create a g.d.o event.
Organizational vs. Personal Git Accounts?
For contributing to Drupal, are there any organizations out there that ask individual developers to use an organizational Git account (vs. a personal Git account) to make commits to projects? Are organizational accounts common in the Drupal community? Why or why not?
If you do use an organizational account, how do you (or they, if speaking of another org.) go about managing multiple Git identities on the local environment? Would you do this by just committing as yourself to internal projects and then committing as the org. account to a contributed project?

Error: "env: drush\r No such file or directory" when trying to run an install script
I wrote an install script to set up a sandbox site on my local machine using a drush make file and some scripted commands.
The gist of the script is:

I'm so very new to this group and wanted to introduce myself. Several months ago I converted from Expression Engine to Drupal and have learned a lot about it so far.
