Someone volunteered to do
Someone volunteered to do Drupal managed exporting to static html - but they can't do Wednesdays. :(
I guess I've got some input...
Well, I don't mind covering the opposite - http://drupal.org/project/import_html
if anyone's into it sometime.
I also have an experimental export/static version of the same thing - exporting to vanilla+microformat dump of site content, so I'd be interested in hearing about other approaches. Haven't had much time to run it around recently though.
Nothing to do with non-LAMP stuff, so maybe next time.
dman.... did you forget to
dman.... did you forget to RSVP?
Dman a Microsoftie?
Apologies, Dman, had I known I wouldn't have been as blatant about it. If you are, you hide it well. :)
Oops, wires crossed
Sorry to cast aspersions, Dman - I misinterpreted your message above to mean that you'd given up on the idea of presenting Drupal on IIS+Windows as a result of my disparagement and would instead focus on html import... Reading it again, it's clear that I understood incorrectly. I gather the D in Dman doesn't stand for Darryl...

My thoughts on it: http://drupal.geek.nz/node/118

love how they say "a major
love how they say "a major technology website" carefully not giving away the names of competitors.
Hmmm...
I was pretty sneaky wasn't I? Nobody even noticed that I was there! Actually I had a last minute family emergency, so couldn't make it :(
Tried to send Shiny a txt, but I assume it didn't get there... gorram Vodafone :(
Signed up
Unfortunately I'm all LAMP currently, but keen to hear about about alternatives.
(edit: removed the bits that showed I had the wrong month hehe)
