Hi, I briefly presented my site thenextlayer.org at the may drupal austria meeting. My idea is to use FOSS methodologies or what is called peer based commons production also in an academic context in the arts and humanities. I recognised that there is a "method gap" between computer people and what I positively call hackers (computer enthusiasts using free and open source software) and people doing research on the PhD level and beyond in the arts and humanities. with thenextlayer.org I want to address this gap and offer researchers a platform to document their research and enter collaborations.
I have also got ideas beyond that centering on an extended version of the user profile and academic matchmaking facilities.
