While we were discussing the January Meeting, there was some discussion on how to revitalize the group including a possible change of meeting time. There has not been any further discussion since that thread and no discussion of our scheduled meeting for tomorrow night. Do we want to meet tomorrow night at our usual place? No program is planned as there has been no one stepping forward in suggesting a topic or volunteering to do a presentation. We still have the issues of the availability of a projector system/screen for doing presentations as well as the meeting time being viable. Don't forget about Josh's presentation to the Boise Webtech meetup Thursday. Both Josh and I will be presenting at Codecamp on Saturday for a couple sessions on Drupal.
I was hoping to make the meeting this week, but ended up coming home from Boise early. So I'm back in Salmon. What about virtual participation? Does anyone have Skype? Is there good enough internet available?

There might be others who have a 3G or 4G with Internet connectivity but unfortunately, no Internet wireless access is available at our current meeting location, not even a neighboring business that we can hop on to.

I am still interested on attending the BDUG meet-ups, but unfortunately I have conflict every Wednesday night and will not be able to participate. If there is talk or consideration for a move to another night it would be great.

If not Wednesday, then we need some suggestions for alternative days. My own personal experience is that Thursday is not viable as it is already popular with User Groups in the valley including BDSG, netDUG, IPCUG, Linux Group, Web Professionals Meetup Group, not to mention various other community groups. Suggestions? We also need some suggestions on meeting location, not having Internet access is a problem with Fuddruckers, not to mention the lack of a presentation environment.
Yes, other groups in the area have their meet-ups on Thursdays, but each month has at least 4 Thursdays. Unfortunately for me I have a commitment with the Boys Scouts every Wednesday of the month. Sometimes I might be able to get coverage by other adults leaders on the second Wednesday of the month.

Night of the week availability tends to vary for me, but things are looking better than they used to.
As for alternative locations, the Flying M Coffeegarage in Nampa (yeah, I know it's more westward than most would prefer) has free wi-fi and an upstairs conference area with a projector screen. Not sure on the exact seating but I'm certain it would support our numbers. It can be a little noisy, but then again, so could we. ;) They are a coffee shop, not a full eatery, but their bakery options (scones, cookies, etc) are excellent.
Just an idea I'm throwing out there. I'm guessing they have a schedule for groups, since they have a greaseboard with a schedule of reservations near the room. If folks are open to the idea of meeting in Nampa, we could call and find out what their open slots may be.

The only night that does't work well with me is Tuesdays. But if that is the decided upon meeting time I might be able to make some changes to allow me to make it.
