Hey Jamaica Drupal Users Group,

I'm sitting here at Chilitos thinking we should have a February meetup. How does Wednesday February 9th work?

Anyone have topics or presentations? Some possible topics:

*Drupal theming ( .psd to working theme)
*Building multilingual sites(i18n)
*Storing configuration in features

Let me know people's thoughts.

Hi folks,

We already had a PSD to Drupal Zen theme. However, I would not mind going through it again.

Wednesdays out for me though.

Features

Did a little research on features after sumo mentioned it at the last Meetup. It is pretty super fantastically amazing! Haven't gotten a real chance to use it yet still, so I would really like to hear about other's experiences.

It would be also cool if you expounded on applications like open Atrium which I believe was the first Drupal based application to take full advantage of features - if I am not mistaken - it was built for open Atrium.

Not sure yet if I'll be able

Not sure yet if I'll be able to make it, but, A presentation on Multi-lingual sites sounds good and if not for this month maybe I could do a short presentation (since I've only used a sub-set of it's features) on how I've been using Drush at UWI. Continuing with @frazras's suggestion we could also look into maybe sharing some of the more recent distributions of Drupal, like OpenPublish, Drupal Commons and OpenScholar.

Is there anything else we could probably focus on where it concerns Drupal 7 and it's functionality? Maybe the changes to SEO in D7 with RDF, also since the Nodewords will not be supported on Drupal 7, the new Metatags module doesn't have a release yet?

That would be awesome

That would be awesome sumosystems. I'd love to hear more about using features.

@axle_foley00 no problem if you can't make it. Maye we can to an i18n session next time. Yea, it is a pity about Nodewords and Drupal 7, it's a pity there doesn't look like http://drupal.org/project/metatags will have any backwards-compatibility with Nodewords. I suspect that the Drupal community will find some workaround even if there is no smooth transition/upgrade. I also like the idea of some more discussions around Drupal 7. I am very interested in RDF so maybe I can put something together on all of the RDF stuff that is now in core.

@frazras a major project of mine is in deploying OpenAtrium for a large and growing organisation. I'd be happy to run through some of what I know after sumosystems does his presentation.

Cheers!

I intend to be there, regardless of the topic being presented. They all look interesting.

Ok. How about a topic for newbies like myself or a presentation. I only set up my first drupal site yesterday; if it's even a 15 minute presentation that would be good. Also i'd like to bring friends.

Sure Nicky,

We should prepare something for persons getting started with Drupal. Anyone feel like giving a short intro to Drupal?

@JaDrupal Let me know if you have specific questions/interests after setting up your first site yesterday. We'll all also be available to answer questions at the meetup.

OK, no one has volunteered

OK, no one has volunteered themself to do the Drupal intro so I will handle it. I look forward to seeing you all there later. The event is up: http://groups.drupal.org/node/125414 Please RSVP.
