BarCampMalaysia was cool
If you were present at BarCampMalaysia2008 in Kuala Lumpur, you know it was awesome. If you weren't, you missed out on a whole lot of interesting people, sessions and discussions. The place was packed with a surprisingly international crowd. From the people I met I can say that at least Malaysia, Singapore, China, USA, Canada and Belgium were represented.
There was some healthy interest in the Drupal sessions Najib and I presented and it seems Drupal is slowly growing and gathering traction in Malaysia. It's up to you, the Malaysian Drupal community, to keep working together and organize get-togethers and to produce local showcases.
I also noticed a fair number of Malaysian open source developers and contributers using Drupal without being active in this group. If the community is to grow and attract attention, these people should be persuaded to join and post their experiences.
I'll keep sweet talking them into joining the community if you all do the same. Let's work together to make Drupal stronger in and around Malaysia. After all, this country has the strongest and fastest technology growth in the world. And Drupal can certainly contribute to that!

Cool - setting up drupal.my would be an excellent step forward.
However, you should co-ordinate the domain registration with Dries since he's the trademark holder. Let me know when you're ready for this so I can let him know to expect your call :)
