Free ebook download

I am trying to setup ebook downloads and can't seem to get any sort of notification out of the system.

Files should be autoshipped/notified one payment completion and I can't seem to work this out.

I have looked through every option and am yet to find out how to have notifications sent. Even if I set a transaction to shipped (I hope I don't have to do this manually) I get no email with links etc.

Any help or documentation?

Thanks

i am having a similar problem, except I want to do the exact same thing with a .zip archive of mp3s

I am also having trouble testing payments and testing to make sure the email is sent with the file correctly.

Any help or direction is appreciated

I tend to use the COD module for testing notices etc. Just remember to go to the COD module settings page and set the Payment status as Completed and the transaction status as completed prior to testing...otherwise you have to manually "complete" each test order.

I was playing around with version 3 earlier..and had a similar problem i.e. no welcome email or order notification. I just went to the Administer » E-Commerce configuration » Mail settings page. to see what was wrong and there was only 1 mail template displayed...by clicking on Add mail and then LIST of emails, it seemed to populate the mail templates.

Try that and if it doesn't work, search through previous ISSUEs here: http://drupal.org/project/issues/ecommerce

groups.drupal.org is intended as a discussion area rather than support/reporting bugs. I only stumbled across this post by accident. If you posted it in the correct place i.e. http://drupal.org/project/issues/ecommerce it would have been noticed quicker.
