What modules are best for building a site for animators and musicians
Was just wondering if anyone could help, am kind of lost with modules and I am about to put together a network thats for collaboration between musicians, animators, writers and artists.
has anyone built such a site, I do know how to install stuff and that but am just a bit overwhelmed with what to use, as I have a horrible habit of installing stuff when i probably shouldnt have done.
Any comments would be really appreciated or pointing me in the right direction

in order to answer the more difficult aspects of this question, you should probably provide us with more details about the type of collaborative features you want to provide to these musicians, animators, writers and artists. How are they going to interact? What are the purposes and goals of the interaction?

yeah sorry about not being so specific in the first place my head was just full of stuff.
Okay the writers i want them to be able to post their scripts for critques for them to be turned into the animations.
The artists I want them to have a decent gallery to show their artwork and have it so they can be rearranged to suit timelines of stills etc.
The musicians/actors I want them to be able to upload their music compostions or voice over pieces as mp3's
the animators I want them to be able to grab all the information supplied by the artists, writers, musicians and to be able to put them into an animated short which can also be uploaded as a video to the site.
also would like to be able to have some sort of project tools so people could track the project and tasks and stuff.
Would like them to have proper profiles as per what they do, ie a decent one for musicians, artists etc.
also would like a decent directory so that people could find each other to collaborate with and also as a way of promoting their skills.
would also like a file repository of articles and stuff people could upload that are useful for the projects
the purpose and goals of them interacting is to create interesting short films and animations and possibly animated music videos.
oh would also like a decent kind of darkish theme with good navigation, i have never seemed to master the art of keeping things simple with the navigation
