Slightly OT: Feedback on changes to group layout
Since this has been such an active group, with multiple concurrently active threads, I did a little Panels work here to (hopefully) make it a bit easier to keep up with everything.
The Discussion tab shows all content in the traditional River of News format.
The Recent Activity tab shows a table of posts, sorted by the date/time of the most recent comment on the thread. (Current Drupal aficionados will recognize this as much like the Tracker view.)
The About this Group tab shows the welcome message, which includes links to the other sites. (I would have left this above everything, but the current Panels offerings don't allow me to have two vertical panels with no sidebars or one sidebar.)
The Wikis tab is a list of all the wikis in this group.
The Who's Participating is a facebook of g.d.o members who have joined this group.
I hope this helps. I welcome your feedback!

"get involved"?
I like it, great work Laura!
I notice the "Get involved" tab on the top, that was around before this update, is still there. It still links to the same blank page though, I'm not sure what its purpose is?
I just unpublished that tab
I'm not sure who created it or what it was intended for eventually, but it was distracting.
Thanks for the feedback!

URL changes?
I noticed that the URL for this group has changed again. Previously, it was at http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-org-redesign-analysis
That URL now redirects here, so I guess it's not a big problem, it's just a little confusing.
PS: Any chance we could change the look to whatever style this group is using?

I cannot claim credit for changing any URLs.
We can look at making alternative panels to suit different preferences, sure. I will try something like the usability group's layout as soon as I get a chance.

Who's participating and paging
When I'm on the "Who's Participating" tab and page to the next page it displays the "Discussions" page 2 instead. I then click the "Who's Participating" tab and see page 2 of that tab. I see two issues here, the reset of the pager index to zero when changing tabs and which page to display for the next page.
That seems to be a code bug,
That seems to be a code bug, unless there's something I'm doing wrong in the panels config.

Flickr, Twitter, Video links gone?
I was just emailing some UX experts and asking them to get involved in the project. The new design has removed the must-have links to the Flickr, Twitter, Video, Survey, Cart sort that everyone should know about. Could we get those back in the Group IA?
Cheers,

I can think of three ways of doing it
One, I shuffle the "about this group" tab (where all that info resides) to the default view, and have all the content hidden in the other tabs.
Two, the info is put into a post and made sticky on the top of the discussions page.
Three, a new panel layout is made available: either a stacked one-column layout or a stacked two-column layout that is not 50/50 (i.e., with right sidebar only) would enable me to put the welcome block above the rest of the tabs.
Options two and three are beyond my permissions. Option one is easy, but less than ideal. Yet with so many parallel discussions happening, I feel it's really helpful to have both the discussions river-of-news view and the recent activity table view.
Any ideas?
