Hi,
Brighton's having a 'Digital Festival' in September - perhaps this could be a good time to get Drupal out to the wider masses?
I originally thought a DrupalCamp would be good, but I don't think the community is strong enough for that just yet - I mentioned again at the meeting last night that perhaps we should do some kind of half-day 'showcase', perhaps some intro tutorials too.
I note that some local companies are finding it hard to get Drupal freelance talent - surely the only way to tackle this is to all join in and help the community grow so there's more of us?!
The website for the festival is up online at http://brightondigitalfestival.co.uk/ - I note they're listing things like the a-sync and write club meetings... we need to get Drupal on the map there too!
So, who's up for doing what?
More thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea
Will check it out, and i second Steve if anyone whants to help would be great, i am away for the second half of August so may be limited in my involvement
We don't have long left - only ONE WEEK left to make a decision!
I've just discovered the Digital Brighton google group at https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/digitalbrighton
They have cut-off date of 15th for proposals which is in a week's time!
So... we need to decide on WHAT we're going to do and WHEN. Any more people interested or just me & guy???!!

Hello,
Seems i messed up my dates and missed the last meetup which is a shame as i am intruged as to the Drupal 8 part of the discussion.
As mentioned in my message to you Steve i am certainly interested in getting involved and would like to know what sort of thing that you were thinking.
Am also interested in trying to get the company i work for involved if there is any way that could be fitted in, if you were to do some kind of "why use drupal" or introduction to then maybe try and get a couple of guys to come along.
But whatever gets decided i'm in and will help in any way i can,
