Hello ladies,
So glad I found you!!! I am new to this group and to Drupal. My website MomFuse.com (www.momfuse.com) is beginning to outgrow Wordpress.. I've been thinking about switching to Drupal so I'm here to learn. I know absolutely nothing about Drupal so far, well.. I do know how to install it through my Cpanel lol.
I'm looking to make MomFuse more of a "magazine" style. I don't have any money for themes or what not.. So my options are to barter for advertising or learn this on my own.. For now, I'm going with learning it on my own unless anyone knows of someone who can barter with me.
Any help of any kind would be appreciative.

Hi Momfuse-
Welcome to the group!
Could you give a little background as to your history? Any development experience? How long have you been working with Wordpress? What is your site like (user base, content organization, traffic volume, social features)?
Drupal does a LOT out of the box, and there are a lot of resources for fast-tracking general theme creation if you don't require a ton of customization.

Hi Momfuse,
I looked through your site, and I can't see anything that would pose a HUGE problem, but it's a pretty big job. Migrating your existing content over would really be the most work, but that's something I really don't have a lot of experience with myself.
Drupal has a bit of a learning curve, but it's nothing you can't handle if you've come this far on Wordpress.
It sounds like your best move would be to just do as close to a 1:1 copy of your current site, migrated to Drupal, then work on extending it from there.
