Is there an update on how version 6 of the userpoints module is coming along? I notice that the last commit to CVS was around October the 8th and I was wondering whether there was still active development going on.

Does anyone know what is going on? Even a "I'm going to be busy for the next 2 months" would help in planning site updates.

A 6.x-1.x-dev exists
A 6.x-1.x-dev release exists and it works.
For the Userpoints Contrib, there are 3 modules in the 6.x-1.x-dev that have been ported.
I am adding them as people port them. One was added just today (userpoints and user badges integration).
It would help more if you can download and test them too.

How stable are they?
How stable is the dev version? The last I heard (in a support request) was that the dev version was unstable. If it is reasonably stable I'll give it a go.

But please check the issue queue for up to date status on reported issues and whether they are solved or not yet.

yup that was me..
hhm.. not sure why I'm not getting notifications for this group, sorry I would've responded earlier.
userpoints dev does work in version 6 but I don't really consider it production quality. This is mainly because I've been writing tests against it and finding tiny little quirks here and there. None of the quirks have affected data in any way but still.
Also we had a plan to change a fairly major hook in userpoints before releasing a stable version. That hook has yet to be changed. I've been telling myself for weeks(months?) that one of these days I'm going to have a few days to sit down and hammer out some code for userpoints but those days have yet to come.
The plan has been outlined[1] and, as of today, all of the tests written2. The only thing left is to do the work which really shouldn't take too long. Since tests have been written I'm much more confident than when a stable version of 6 is released it will actually be stable.

Jacob, thanks for the update. I appreciate the work that you and all of the other testers and developers are doing. I'm going to install this today and give it a go.
