Drupal Trainging Events - Seminars - Is that possible?

it may be necessary to start with a site on drupal in Arabic then we can organize other activities

the first step would be to organize a Drupal User Group meeting in a big city like Damascus, Aleppo or Homs. That will start to give you an idea of the Drupal community in Syria.

You could create a poll in this group to see how many people would be interested in a meeting, how many in training, etc.

One suggestion: it's often a good idea to just take the lead and organize a meeting instead of waiting around until someone else does something. Go for it, blog about it and report afterwards!

I'm very happy to hear about people interested in creating a Drupal Event in Syria. In fact I've been a while thinking into this direction. Let's start immediately as Symbi mentioned even with a small meeting with a cup of coffee and I think this will be a good starting point.

I think the first step should be a small meeting between local Drupallers maybe 3-10 people to put a plan.
- How to reach local people interested in Drupal.
- How to arrange our first open meeting.
- What should be the aganda of the meeting.
- and maybe who will be the sponsor.
