CMAP in Gilroy
At CMAP we use Facil for:
Person records
Project data
Class scheduling
Training Certification
Equipment inventory
Equipment reservations
Financial transactions
We do not use Facil to keep track of programming, or to schedule programming for broadcast. All of that is done through Synergy VLM.
In Pasadena
At PCAC (Pasadena Community Access Corp.):
All volunteer crew & producers are entered in facil, Projects are entered and the equipment is scheduled. No financial stuff to my knowledge. We only recently instituted a membership fee. We never really made full use of the software, because noone has ever had the time or inclination to really dig into it. Our channel is run from Leightronix nexus.
I just built a XAMPP server on a W2k machine with a Drupal 6.6 install and want to mover from Facil to a browser based model.
