Project Description:
Improve Drupal's Project Module.
Motivation:
Drupal has a project module that provides basic functionality for tracking projects. However, this needs improvement. Improving the usability and usefulness of the Project Module will make it a more robust project management tool and increase/attract more users to Drupal :-).
Success criteria:
The project will be considered successful if the following features are done:
- Generate GANTT charts and graphs.
- Identify critical path and produce network dependency diagrams.
- Generate basic statistical reports on projects (including % completed or delayed).
- Improved usability and workflow: more intuitive way to enter tasks and resources and use of AJAX on GANTT editing.
- Add RSS feeds for informing project team members of updates.

Roadmap:

Install Drupal and the project module and get acquainted with the structure of Drupal's modules and hooks.

Read about project management and tinker with PM software.

Create modifications :)

YES PLEASE
This would be Awesome. A good PM web app wrapped inside of such a great CMS program would be the icing on the cake. 1 feature request. Distinguish from Projected and Actual. We will create the project but inevitably it will get delay'd.. It would be great to see this graphically and with explanation. So.. When Task 3 gets delay'd all Dependencies get pushed out also.
