During our codesprint we have jumpt from demi-star to demi-star and they directed us to the infrastructure issue queue to order ourselves a d.o. clone [it was much cheaper that you get them in Kamino, basically the empire got ripped off].
The issue is located at http://drupal.org/node/1261188
I've put up an empty project sandox at: http://drupal.org/sandbox/mixel/1261680 (hope to give it a the proper name soon).
I'll update this post as soon as we have the d.o. sandbox.
In the mean time .... let the force be with you.

Does this mean the learners
Does this mean the learners work with a sandbox of the actual d.o site to make improvements on the actual d.o site?
That is awesome!
One thing learners could do is also some of the other jobs in need, such as content audits, and mock ups and reviewing issues... as well as user testing. There are many kinds of tasks.
Could you elaborate?
Hi Heather,
Great ideas, could you elaborate how we should do those jobs more structured?
Do the jobs need some extra tools so the Padawan can help?
Could we generate visibility to the user profile for all the work?
Git sandboxes have no
Git sandboxes have no relation to dev sites. Drupal.org, like any other Drupal site, is just core, modules, and a theme. Contributions should be patches to those modules. More details are at http://drupal.org/make-drupalorg-awesome.
Thank you drumm !
We have liftoff !
