They wanted to consolidate sessions at BADCamp so I was requested to keep mine to one session rather than two. I will try to do all the changes and incorporate suggestions before Oct 4th and maybe add some slides on drush or something.
Do we have anyone else that wants to present something for next time?

Nothing that I can prepare for October, but I wonder if anyone has any hot-button issues they want to discuss? this could open up a topic that one of us may be able to present on.
Something that keeps getting me caught up on some sites, is templates, theming, and well, super more specifically, theming forms. With how many q's are being asked upon forms, it seems a rather "hot" issue. I could go for even a brief introduction as to the how, or various methods of form theming and tweaking. Yet, maybe I am the only one here in SC that might need it, or benefit greatly from such information.

I'm always interested in hearing how others do theming. I have had to theme a number of sites and it usually ends up being less elegant than I would hope.

I would be happy to see more on theming. For me, it's the hardest part of putting together a site because it's the most wide open, and usually the customer doesn't have much of an idea of what they want.

Kristen, I think your presentation will probably occupy the meeting.
However, I can probably show some of the things I've learned about the Migrate module for Drupal 7, whenever we have a meeting that doesn't have something more interesting on the schedule. Migrate is one of two or three ways (Feeds and ad hoc SQL hacking, are the others I'm thinking of) to get data from other systems, including previous versions of Drupal, into D7.

I'm interested in this. It is possible I won't have time to finish up my talk before the October 4th meeting because I still need to finish my taxes (!!) and that obviously (and unfortunately) takes priority.

I've done a couple different migration projects now and am working on the biggest one yet -- moving from an OSCommerce 2.x site to D7 Commerce. I can prepare a talk, but I warn you all, this is a very technical subject -- SQL, PHP, OOP, CSV, and more TLAs, database table correspondence and data rollback. You might want to stop at Peet's on the way to the meeting if you want me to talk about this.

I'm totally up for that. If I finish my talk by then, I'm just going to run through the slides quickly to get feedback on ordering. I don't think it would take me more than 15 minutes. If you are willing to pull together something for a 45+ minute presentation, that would be cool.
Other than the slide deck, there's no record. We had a pretty good discussion and I also gave a couple demos of Feeds and Migrate import features. The session lasted about an hour and a half, and I think that a really in depth talk could have taken much longer; or the same time could have been spent just talking about Migrate itself, with some deeper demos and more discussion of the necessary code.

For November, I'm wondering if we should do a BADCamp redux where each of us who went to BADcamp picks one or two talks of interest to summarize? Alternatively, perhaps Murias would like to do his theming talk? Or other ideas?

Awesome...
Maybe Murias can do his theme-related one the following meeting.
[update] I had a typo above... it said "make Murias" instead of "maybe Murias"... whoops!

Was this talk recorded? I'm interested in doing the same in the near future, any information would be appreciated.

Theming... responsive web design
I talked to Murias and there was a misunderstanding... he wants someone else to present about theming strategies.
On that note, I could go over the responsive web design training though Murias said he can't make the next meeting.
