I have a 2 views that each have only a default display. The views yield the content I desire when I pass them each the same two arguments. I want to display these two views in a panel. The panel url is to be /fightnight/arg1/fight/arg2. I have the following settings on my panel: settings > path = fightnight/%/fight/%, content configure defaults view > send args = checked, args = %1/%2, override url = fightnight/%/fight/%.

I'm not getting the views to come up when I use the URL"fightnight/%/fight/%" where the two args are the ones that make the views work.

Can someone help me sort our the passing of arguments, and specifically the passing of two arguments separated by text with the last the end of the url.

fightnight/%/fight/%... should I number the %'s?
fightnight/%/fight/%... do I need the last %?
%1/%2... should %1/%2 be @1/@2 instead?

I was able to accomplish

I was able to accomplish what I wanted, but still don't understand completely why what I was trying didn't work. I am also a bit disappointed that a solution was so easy but no one bothered to help. Perhaps everyone else is as confused as I am.

In the panel path I only used "fightnight". For some reason if I put the info as explained in the text below the entry field it doesn't work. In the pop up for the actual panel content I left the "send arguments" checkbox unchecked and then used %1/%3 as the arguments to pass. I guess "fightnight" is %0 and "fight" becomes %2.
