An ongoing series of lessons, sessions, and workshops on Drupal media and arts.

Goals and Objectives

  • Showcase how producers and media organizations are leveraging Drupal.
  • Bridge the gap between the geek world and the real world (who mostly don't know the world beyond MySpace).
  • Demonstrate how artists can leverage new technologies and reach an audience without having to compromise their art.
  • Gain a more comprehensive understanding of the modules available and the ways they are being used
  • See how producers and media organizations are leveraging Drupal.
  • Learn about the future of multimedia in Drupal
  • Help transform multimedia handling for Drupal.
  • Increase collaboration & relationships between users and stakeholders with similar goals (join forces in collaboratively generating the resources necessary to push this work forward!)
  • Increase collaboration & relationships between developers working on the modules (more unity, opportunity through code sprints to integrate various patches/functionality we've got locked up on individual sites, clearer vision for moving forward)

When and where

Usually Tuesdays @ 12:30pm EST (9:30am PST) in the Drupal Dojo, but you can schedule one anytime.

Format

Roughly a one hour session over Dimdim covering a variety or lessons, demos, and workshops. A wide range of learning materials and resources to accompany each session.
