Women at Drupalcamp Cologne

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi fellow Drupalchix,

I just got back from a weekend at Drupalcamp Cologne. We were about 220 people and I think I saw about 10 women, a few of which came with their husbands (but use Drupal themselves). I didn't actually talk to any of the women, there wasn't much time and I was busy getting to know everyone I already knew from #drupal.de IRC channel. So I don't really have much else to say about women at DrupalCamp, I just wanted to give you guys the info. I wonder why there are such few women using Drupal?

Oh well, for now I will invite the women who attended to this group :-)

I guess I am one of the ten women you saw at the DrupalCamp Cologne. You just talked to my boyfriend ij at the #drupal.de IRC channel. The DrupalCamp Cologne was very interesting and we had much fun! And I think we will probably open up a Drupal user group in Rostock!!! :-) , because we are both so excited about Drupal!

Hey Susi - thanks for joining! Our user group is at http://dug-hannover.org/ - we were thinking about organizing a DrupalCamp Norddeutschland sometime soon, with User Groups from Hanover, Hamburg, Rostock (that would be yours :-)). There's also lots of people living in between those bigger cities, who can't make it to the User Groups, so a small version of the Camp could be a good idea. I think I'll put that on the agenda of our next meeting in Hanover. What do you think, would that be interesting for your group too?

and hi to the other seven women who were in Cologne. I do not have a precise statistics on this.

@Anja, I am one of the chix that did not come alone - and yes, he and me are both working with Drupal :-). And I am the one who sent you an email in advance. As you said, we were all very busy. But there will be another meeting and we will probably read from one another at G.D.O. Glad you enjoyed DrupalCon.
