Install Drupal SEO Modules: Nodewords and the Title module will help you also the pathauto module. Giving your pages, descriptive and meaningful names is helpful. Having content that people will talk about is very important. Relevance of the keywords in the page name and title to the content is important.

Besides the modules, the most important thing is knowing which keywords people are searching for and how competitive the keywords are. You need to be smart in picking which keywords you use.
