This is an introductory course aimed at all who want to understand Drupal and develop the most useful Drupal skills quickly. This course is focused, engaging and enjoyable. It covers the key Drupal principles, concepts and techniques with a clear focus on the latest major version of Drupal - Drupal 7. At the end of this training day you will be able to build fully featured, client-pleasing Drupal websites - and all without any coding at all.

N.B. This standalone training day also acts as an introduction to, and forms part of, the Drupal Training Series and can be booked on its own or with any of the other training days in the series.

OUTLINE:

Following this course attendees will be able to:

• Understand what Drupal is and what it can do
• Install Drupal - both single site and multi-site installations are covered
• Structure your drupal website - menus, blocks etc.
• Manage users effectively on your Drupal website
• Manage content: taxonomy, introduction to custom Content Types etc.
• Use the Fields UI (CCK in version 6) to create custom content
• Use Views to produce lists of the content you need to display to your visitors and website users
• Theme Drupal - understanding options for providing an effective and attractive front-end to Drupal
• Deliver essential SEO ...ensuring that your site ranks as highly as possible

• Attendees provide their own Internet-ready laptop.
