Meeting Notes for Drupal 8 HTML5 Initiative Meeting #18
Attendees:
aspilicious, jacine, ericduran, rupl, timplunkett, MD3
Since the last sprint, many issues have had some great progress!
Issues mentioned in meeting along with select comments:
Issue #1: http://drupal.org/node/1360994 => Change hook_maintenance_page to hook_maintenance => Drupal
rupl - actually, I think hook_maintenance just needs a bunch of people to post and say "I WANT THIS"
jacine - I answered catch and enough people said they want it.
aspilicious - yeah but after it is fixed we can mark it rtbc
jacine - I asked that our patches not be demoted from RTBC anymore just because maintainers have a question.
Issue #2: http://drupal.org/node/1221718 => Refactor block-admin-display-form.tpl.php => Drupal core, block.module, normal, needs review
aspilicious asked if this can be added to sprint and jacine said sure.
Issue #3: http://drupal.org/node/1190210 => Convert toolbar.tpl.php to HTML5 => Drupal core, theme system, normal, needs review, 45 comments, 6 IRC mentions
aspilicious discussed with everyone a new approach for toolbar template
MD3 - so who is our official reference on HTML5?
jacine - We refer to both W3c and WHATWG specs. They are almost identical for what we need.
jacine - MD3: Plenty of links here: http://drupal.org/node/1193054
MD3 - can I suggest that we see what the final HTML looks like and compare?
jacine - MD3: do you know how to apply patches?
MD3 - jacine: no. I would love to learn, but that sounds like something for after the meeting?
jacine - When I say, we need feedback, I mean people need to review the existing patch and comment with feedback. That's how it works. Here is a tutorial on patches: http://jacine.net/post/8419331209/patches
aspilicious said to add this to the next sprint and jacine said she already tagged it.
Issue #4 :http://drupal.org/node/1203908 => Add a type parameter to theme_links => Drupal core, theme system, normal, needs work, 5 comments, 2 IRC mentions
Issue #5: http://drupal.org/node/1174640 => Add new HTML5 FAPI element: number => Drupal core, forms system, normal, needs work, 63 comments, 11 IRC mentions
timplunkett asked if anyone is working on it. aspilicious said we need test fixers.
jacine - I'm going to see if I can reproduce the attached issue and if so, I'll try to find some help.
aspilicious - jacine, I think it's an issue with that, just try to drag and drop an item from the bottom region
aspilicious - to the top
jacine - aspilicious: ok, reproduced! ouch.
ericduran - ok I think I have one of the number test fixed
ericduran - now running and moving on to the 2nd one
aspilicious - jacine, It works on the first region
