This is a very important Public Service Announcement to all students THINKING ABOUT applying to be a Summer of Code student with Drupal.
Google has asked us to have ALL proposed projects entered into their application process. This includes:
- Student Ideas
- Official Ideas
- Finished Ideas
- Ideas in Progress and
- All other ideas too
If you are a student, and your awesome Drupal GSoC idea falls into one of those categories, please GO NOW and complete the steps outlined on the Google application site. This will add your proposal to the queue of applications and will help Drupal to get as many GSoC slots as possible. Don't worry if your idea isn't "approved" or "final" or "some other arbitrary filter that makes you feel not ready." At this point you are submitting your idea to help Drupal get an AWESOMELY HUGE number of slots for all of your AMAZINGLY GREAT project ideas.

Nice Menus Color Picker
This date really snuck up on me. I've been thinking about this proposal for around a month and just got it in down to the wire. I would have liked to submitted it under Student Ideas sooner to refine it, but hey at least I got it in, right? I hope some great features come out of this year's projects.
