Portfolio Sprint

Goal

  • Push the first community-created Drupal product forward.

Details

  • Portfolio is still in the product design phase. The current tasks are of a pure organisational nature. No programming involved.
  • The community already created ~10 distinct use-case descriptions, which are within the basic scope of Portfolio, but represent the demands of different target audiences.
  • The concrete next step is to analyze the use-cases and to convert them into a matrix of abstract features, functionality, and other criteria. The matrix will yield a concrete common denominator for all use-cases, which will then be base for the technical architecture and implementation.
  • An ideal way to actively participate in Drupal. The Portfolio product itself is specific; but the project is an essential initiative for Drupal's future and a fundamental precursor for various product related topics.

Parameters

  • Location: in or nearby Karlsruhe, Germany
  • Language:
    • at the sprint: possibly German (unless there'll be English-speaking participants)
    • in documents, material, protocols: English
  • We'll try to write a real-time online protocol of what we're discussing and doing.

Agenda

  • Short introduction to Portfolio, the goals, cause, procedure, surrounding conditions, past and upcoming work
  • Design and definition of matrix criteria (together)
  • Analysis and conversion of use-cases into the matrix (possibly in teams/working groups)
  • Evaluation of results and definition of the common denominator
