Not a a serious applicant?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Think we have some kind of problem here: http://drupal.org/node/1388210

For me it seems like this is a company, and not a person, also, there are a reviewer in that issue, that have done nothing else on d.o. than to approve this application (and the code is not there yet), also, another application http://drupal.org/node/1424990) got comments from another new user, that jut seems to advertise the same company as in http://drupal.org/node/1388210.

They look serious enough ..

Both LoginRadius http://drupal.org/user/1709166 and oneall (dot) com http://drupal.org/user/1791578 are company accounts .. I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to start with? I think that's grounds to have the accounts deleted.

This text is on the signup page: Please note: All user accounts are for individuals. Accounts created for more than one user or those using anonymous mail services will be blocked when discovered.

There's a user posting in the issue - Carie is a link bombing spammer: http://drupal.org/user/1822848/track . They should be reported to the webmaster issue queue, and now is. http://drupal.org/node/1446802

As for those two modules. They do seem to be at least semi serious. The short names being almost identical doesn't help, but they do seem to be different companies. The code is horrible and both of them in their present state should not be accepted without major overhaul (die() in code .. woohoo). They also seem to be ignoring almost all advice given to them which doesn't help.

Depends

If it's a single person company or the only person at that company that uses the account, I don't think it's an issue. What we are trying to avoid is having a company account in use by multiple people. As long as it's one account = one person, I don't think it matters if the username is the company name.

Hello,

my name is Claude, I'm the founder of oneall.com.
I've stumbled upon this posts through Google Alerts.

We have not created an official account for our company on drupal.org.
We are indeed working on a Drupal Module, and it might be that the oneall.com account has been created by a over-eager developer.
I have to check this out. In any case, this is not a company-wide used account.

We are by the way not affiliated with LoginRadius - even if we compete in the same domain.

Regards,

Hello,

I have been investigating and the oneall.com account has not been created by a oneall employee.
The Drupal Module and the oneall.com account have probably been created by one of our passionate users.
We are welcoming these efforts and would be glad to see the finished module.

Would it nevertheless be possible to change the name of the account (http://drupal.org/user/1791578) from "oneall.com" to something else to avoid confusion with our company.

Thank you for your efforts!

Regards,

.

Your best bet for that is to contact the user in question and ask him/her to change his/her username. If he/she refuses, you can file a webmaster issue but better for them to just do it voluntarily.
