Lullabot Is In Town - Portland Meetup on Tuesday

Start:
2009-05-05 07:00 - 10:00 America/Los_Angeles

The Lullabot team will be in town next week teaching workshops at the Hotel Monaco. We've got a nice space reserved and a bunch of out-of-town workshop attendees who would love to meet the great Portland Drupal community. So how about a Portland Drupal Meetup on Tuesday (May 5th)!? We'll have a cash bar, audio/video stuff, and snacks.

We'll keep the format pretty open with lightening talks and question/answer sessions. We'll have a signup sheet, and we'd love to hear about the cool stuff that you're working on, Drupal discoveries, or just questions that you need answered.

Location:

The Lipman & Wolfe Banquet Room (3rd floor)
at The Hotel Monaco
506 Southwest Washington (at 5th Ave)
Portland, OR 97204

Time:
7pm 'til whenever...

Is this a good introduction?

NathanYoung - Sat, 2009-05-02 00:19

I am new to drupal and haven't been to one of the Portland group meetings yet. This meetup looks like a great event and a way to get introduce to people, is anyone going to mind if I show up here not knowing anyone?

Everybody is welcome to the meetings, regardless of how long you've been using Drupal, or even if you've never used it at all and are just checking it out. We all usually learn something new, no matter how long we've been using it, and the meetups with the 'Bots are always fun.

Nathan, please come. It's a

Cinco de Drupal!

Turns out it's Cinco De Mayo today! We're doing our best to make sure we'll have chips and salsa as well as Mexican beers for the meetup. So don't feel like you're missing the festivities. You can get your Drupal fix AND keep your "party people" credibility. We'll see you tonight on the 3rd floor at the Hotel Monaco in downtown Portland!

Dinner?

Is anybody interested in getting together for dinner tonight before the meetup? There are a few good places around the hotel (Pazzo, is one of my faves), or we could go a few blocks to Rock Bottom.

I'm hanging out in #drupal-pdx on IRC, so ping me there or leave a comment here if you're interested.

Be there with bells on!

For those of you who missed the Lullabot meet-up, you missed a great little evening. If you'd like to know what went on, I blogged about it. Please let me know if I was not clear on anything.

For those of you who were there, please let me know if I left anything out or if I need to correct anything. In both cases, please comment at the blog, just to keep the noise factor here down. It's on LiveJournal so you can use your open id... or just comment anonymously.

A fantastic and highly useful evening. Thanks y'all!
