Hello everyone,
I'm new to drupal, linux webserver administration, and contributing with free software projects, so please bear with me...
I installed Storm 7 on a drupal 7 install I have because I am interested in the Knowledge Base module. I wanted to contribute to the testing of that module specifically. I saw that it wasn't included with the 'Storm' module, so I wanted to uninstall it.
The problem is, I cannot click the check boxes to disable the module's components in order to uninstall the module.
Any suggestions?

Try deleting the Storm directory from the sites/all/modules directory. That should clear Storm from the modules list in drupal

Bingo! Thanks!
Can I always do this to uninstall modules? Is this an unorthodox way?

By uninstalling, if you mean removing all the settings, configurations, variables and tables related to that module, this mothod is strongly discouraged. But if you plan to use the module again, you can do that. Remember, you need to delete module's record from system table.
I'd appreciate your feedback.
Regards.

Yes, I understand. I figured that's why there was an issue. I don't really know how to code anything yet, but want to help get Storm Knowledge Base into Drupal 7. How can I assist with this?

Out of interest, why are you so keen on Storm Knowledgebase? Do you use it currently on D6? If not, there may be alternatives that are better.

I am looking for a knowledge base solution for a website that I have. Storm KB was the only thing that I could find. If you could suggest some others that may work in Drupal 7, I would appreciate it.
I am new to Drupal and 7 is the first I've used. I also have limited php knowledge but am interested in contributing.
It really depends on what you
It really depends on what you need it for.
If you're looking for a full project management environment such as Storm provides, you'd be better going with the Drupal 6 version at the moment.
If something different - perhaps http://drupal.org/project/faq or similar?
