After the success of the first "Drupal Summit" organized in Europe in Genk (Belgium) which brought together over 250 participants, Linalis and the Ziido Foundation, wanted to renew the experience and hold the second European "Drupal Summit" in Geneva.
The date of May 23rd 2012 has been selected in agreement with CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research), sponsor and host of the event.
By participating in the upcoming "Drupal Summit", you wil be able to attend the conferences of the Drupal creator Dries Buytaert, Mark Boulton for the Design on Drupal, Kristof Van Roy at the origin of some modules, and Pierre-Jean Duvivier, former Head of development of Edipresse.
As for Linalis, Nicolas Bocquet, our Web Unit Manager, will hold a presentation on his experiences with Drupal and the NGOs.
Speak about the Summit around you and win a visit of the CERN Datacenter!

Sounds great - what about the cost?
Is the event free of charge? Or what is the cost?
Their website says it costs
Their website says it costs 250€ per entry.
Thank you
I found the website later on. Here is the link: http://cern2012.drupalsummit.ch
The Drupalsummit CERN! is post pound to another date
The Drupal summit at CERN is postponed until later this year - date to be confirmed.
This is only the second Drupal summit planned in Europe and it was a challenge to gauge demand and set the appropriate format.
Rather than go ahead with an event that didn't match expectations we decided to postpone the event and rework the programme to make this summit a successful event for networking and learning.
If you have already registered you can sign up info@drupalsummit.ch to be informed of the new timing and programme.
You can also have a full refund.
Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we look forward to seeing you later in the year.

Suggestion
Personally, I would have been happy to take a day off to participate (the company I work for doesn't do much with Drupal), and CERN is also easy to reach with public transport. However, I would have been willing to spend a maximum of CHF 50 for such an event (maybe the postponed event would lower the price?). But maybe I was not the target audience anyway...
