Ad Bard Network and the Free Software Foundation

The Free Software Foundation issued a press release today about the relaunched Ad Bard Network. It begins, "the Free Software Foundation (FSF) today welcomed the launch of AdBard a new advertising network for technology based websites based upon the promotion of Free, Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) friendly products and services." The Ad Bard Network is powered by Drupal 6 and the Drupal Ad module. More information can be found in the Ad Bard FAQ.

The new network offers a unique model in which only 30 advertisements are sold each month. This includes 25 monthly advertisements displayed in rotation for a minimum of 25 days, and 5 daily advertisements each displayed exclusively on all member websites for a 24 hour period.

As the network evolves, new code and features will be regularly contributed back to the Drupal Ad module and supporting projects.
