I am considering organizing a REGULAR monthly meetup in Portsmouth.
The meetups would be held on a weekday evening (TBD) starting at 6pm, and running to 7:30 or 8. Those interested could convene afterwards at a nearby eating and drinking spot.
Meeting announcements would be posted 10 days in advance, giving enough time for prospective attendees to suggest a topic they could lead a discussion and/or presentation about. In other words, the majority of our meetups would be self-organized, in advance, and one or several people would come prepared to lead one or more presentations or discussions.
Before I commit to this, I need to gauge your level of interest.
Good idea, Bob. If you're still interested in this, I have an idea. You could consider contacting the organizer of the Portsmouth Web Dev Meetup, who also runs Alpha Loft. He seems to be open to hosting events in that space free-of-charge. Also, there were a few Drupalers at the last Web Dev Meetup I attended.
